“Jesus is Lord.” This is Christian foundational confession. It was central for the early church and needs to again become central to us. If Jesus is Lord, then Caesar was not—nor any other political ruler since. If Jesus is Lord, no other authority is absolute. Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of God he announced, is the Christian’s first loyalty, above all others. We pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Our faith is personal but never private, meant not only for heaven but for this earth.

Godly men, women, and children ALWAYS point you back to Christ Jesus! This cannot be emphasized enough. Faith is absolutely necessary to navigate this complex world. Every aspect of life MUST align with Scripture, God’s Holy Word. This means that each living person MUST make the conscience choice to take time to pray, study, and think the issues through building in your mind a correct worldview about life! NO ONE CAN CHEAT this process because this is how God set up the universe.

Break strongholds in the mind; that is, replacing wrong belief and cyclical patterns of thinking with the teachings of Christ Jesus. Jesus teaches all to take each thought captive and bring them to obedience of Scripture. Example: instead of going to a secular court to get “justice,” do it God’s way:
“[O]ne brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means that you are thoroughly defeated already.” -1 Corinthians 6:6-7a. The issue being, allow God to grow you up into love and spiritual maturity so that you do not have to keep going to another to resolve your problem(s).
“‘Consider carefully what you [judges] do, because you are not judging for man but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.’ … ‘ You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD. That all men have a natural and unalienable right, to worship Almighty God, according to the dictates of their own consciences and understandings, as in their opinion shall be regulated by the word of God; and that no man ought to, or of right can be compelled to attend any religious worship, or erect or support any place of worship, or maintain any minister, contrary to the dictates of his conscience, nor can any man be justly deprived or abridged of any civil right as a citizen, on account of his religious sentiments, or peculiar mode of religious worship; and that no authority can, or ought to be vested in, or assumed by any power whatever, that shall in any case interfere with, or in any manner control the rights of conscience, in the free exercise of religious worship. Nevertheless, every sect or denomination of Christians ought to observe the Sabbath or Lord’s day, and keep up some sort of religious worship, which to them shall seem most agreeable to the revealed will of God.
