It is written: “[b]ecause Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need-one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.” -Hebrews 7:24-26
So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours. -Matthew 6:5-14
[Jesus:] And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
Prayer is the means to talk to God with real relationship whereby you receive His response, sometimes immediately and sometimes delayed. Now upon us is year 2022, and I declare that life’s challenges coming at us demand God’s people to be spiritually connected to the Living God by praying to get daily direction and discernment. Study God’s Word and pray to become wiser than the enemy.
It is written: “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.” –Jeremiah 29:12 The Good News: The Lord is always listening. Prayer is our 24 hour/7days a week direct line to Him.
“Rejoice always, pray continually (without ceasing), give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” -James 5:16
“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Who can harm you if you are zealous for what is good?” -1 Peter 3:12-14
