Finally, centuries of Jewish rejection of Yeshua and Christian rejection of Jews has produced a situation today in which it is commonly supposed that Christianity is Christianity, and Judaism is Judaism, and never the twain shall meet. Moreover, many Jews and Christians are satisfied with this arrangement.\u00a0But it was not God\u2019s will that there be two separate peoples of God. Gentile Christians who recognize that they have joined Israel, not replaced it,<\/strong>\u00a0and Messianic Jews who identify fully with both the Jewish people and the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua,\u00a0must work together to heal the greatest schism in the history of the world, the split between the Church and the Jewish people.<\/strong>\u00a0The Jewish New Testament has a part to play in this great task of bringing the two together in a way that preserves the identity of the Jewish people within the Messianic Community, as both Jews and Gentiles honor God and his Messiah according to the Tanakh and the New Testament.\u00a0-Jewish New Testament, David H. Jesus<\/a><\/strong> was Jewish. His disciples were Jewish. In the prevailing Christian view, the Bible was written by forty authors. Of these, thirty-nine were Jewish. The fortieth, Luke, was likely a convert to Judaism.  None of the earliest Christians believed that they were starting a new religion. [i.e. \u201creplacement theology\u201d causing anti-Semitism].
