It is written: “If you forsake the LORD and serve foreign gods, He will turn and bring disaster on you and consume you, even after He has been good to you. ‘No!’ replied the people. ‘We will serve the LORD!’ Then Joshua told them, ‘You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD.’ ‘We are witnesses!’ they said. ‘Now, therefore,’ he said, ‘get rid of the foreign gods among you and incline your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.’” -Joshua 24:20-23

You cannot speak on issues that you have no knowledge of. When someone asks you what you have been doing with your life as it pertains to Jesus, Yeshua, you will be testimony against yourself. If you have been sinning and doing evil, it will be openly evident- you will condemn yourself. If you have been pursuing eternal life through Jesus, Yeshua, you will have a true story or testimony to share. You will be confident to speak because of your sincere faith.

“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.” -John 3:18-20
